The Environmental Club at KM/KM/AL-Ashraq M.M.V (National School) - Nintavur is a vibrant and dynamic organization dedicated to fostering environmental awareness and promoting sustainability within the school and the broader community. With a membership of 93 enthusiastic students and 17 committed teachers, the club serves as a platform for nurturing eco-conscious leaders who are passionate about preserving and protecting the environment.

Latest Achievements


The Environmental Club has consistently demonstrated excellence through its numerous accomplishments, highlighting the club’s commitment to environmental protection:

  • 2020: M.K.M. Shahith and P. Rushanthini reached the President Level, earning recognition for their leadership and contributions to environmental initiatives.
  • 2023: The club proudly participated in the 16th National Camp, where members R. Razeega Hamtha and M.S.F. Reesma represented the school. The club earned an impressive haul of 37 Green Medals, 53 Silver Medals, and 5 Gold Medals, reflecting the members’ dedication and hard work.
  • 2024: At the 16th National Camp, students like A.H.F. Asha Zaani, S.M. Minhaj, and M.Y.M. Aabith Yoosuf showcased their environmental skills and initiatives, further solidifying the club’s status as a leading force in eco-friendly practices.

Pioneer Medal Achievements


A group of 24 outstanding students was awarded the prestigious Pioneer Medal for their exceptional contributions to environmental activities. The guidance of dedicated teachers, including K.M.K.H. Hajara, M.Y.M. Munawwara, A.H. Hanfiya, and N.M. Insaf Hassan, played a significant role in this achievement.


Additional Medal Awards


  • Green Medal: Awarded to 24 students, led by teachers M.R.F. Roshan, M.M.F. Sihana, A.W. Shiyama, and M.S.M. Safeer.
  • Silver Medal: Earned by 37 students under the leadership of A.A.F. Safana and M.I.M. Asmi.
  • Gold Medal: Secured by 3 students, guided by S. Ajeefa, MAR. Kulshor, and H.F. Rumana.
  • President Medal: Bestowed upon 5 outstanding students, with V. Mathuma and A.S. Najiyla leading their success.

The Environmental Club remains at the forefront of environmental action through a variety of impactful programs and events:

  • Tree Planting Drives: The club organizes regular tree planting events to promote reforestation and increase green cover within the school and local community.
  • Waste Management Campaigns: Students actively participate in waste segregation programs, recycling drives, and awareness sessions on reducing plastic use and promoting eco-friendly habits.
  • Environmental Education Workshops: The club conducts workshops and seminars aimed at educating students and the community on key environmental topics such as climate change, conservation, and sustainable living.
  • Eco-friendly School Initiatives: The club has implemented projects such as organic gardening, composting, and the creation of a ‘green classroom’ to encourage sustainable practices within the school.

  • Launching a school-wide ‘No Plastic’ campaign.

  • Expanding the organic garden to produce fresh vegetables for the school cafeteria.
