Significant Achievement in Chess

On August 17-18, 2024, Al-Ashraq National School’s chess team achieved a notable milestone by advancing to the national level in the Eastern Province Individual Chess Championship.

 The event, organized by the Sri Lanka Schools' Chess Association in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, took place at Trincomalee Sinhala Central College and featured fierce competition among schools in the region.

Our skillful players earned their qualifications for the national competition with outstanding performances. Alhamdulillah!
